Nancy’s Note

I am reflecting on the Jordan retreat we had this last weekend.

I was asked to speak by my good friend Joni Rogers Kante, Founder of Senegence Cosmetics, in March for her top leaders when she had a guest speaker called in sick.

She said how can I ever repay you and I say Rok Ranch for a weekend for my Jordie's!

And the race to the ranch began.

A quick sponsor contest and 12 winners and covid! We pressed on.

Small group, green and clean and the pull and need to gather brought us to the ranch.

The ranch was amazing but the bonus was when Joni herself, who was supposed to be in California, popped in!

I wanted to share some pictures and encourage you to go through every God-given an open door.

You never know where it will lead!

The 5 things I learned on the ranch

1. Ask and you shall receive! I did not and am not a paid speaker for our industry.

I did have a friend in need and in turn, I asked for this unique time and she said yes!

You never know unless you ask.

2. People need to gather! Small groups can gather, mask up, 6 ft apart but just being with people in person is invaluable.

3. Downtime is important! We had very little structured time and yet the time was rich with conversations and Polaris rides!

4. Mentors. When the student is ready the teacher will appear. Joni spent and hour with us and then we spent an hour unpacking what she shared.

The question arose about Pinterest and Marian pulled out the laptop and did an amazing training on the spot! Leaders, mentors and friends are all around us.

5. I do not like exclusive events much (for example only 12 can attend) I much prefer if you want it you can win it and join in the fun.

Ten Tips to Boost Your Holiday Business Starting Now!

Yes, each year the holidays seem to start earlier and earlier. This year it seems especially true. Not only are the stores ready for the holidays, many of us are planning earlier….and shopping more and more online too!

As we head into this holiday season, there are a few things we can do to “stand apart” and build our business too.

1. Appreciate your supporters! Not everyone can buy every time so not only appreciate those who do purchase, appreciate those who like your posts, are a part of your VIP group and who attend parties. Send them a private message to say “Thank you. I appreciate you.”

2. Send pre-holiday cards now! Sending happy mail – real physical pieces of mail – stands out. Send personal thank you cards to your top customers and hosts. Send Halloween or Thanksgiving cards with personal notes wishing a wonderful fall season. (Don’t be salesy…but you can include your business card.)

3. Hold “Appreciation” parties for customers and hosts. Host them on zoom and make your background festive and fun! Keep them short and exclusive! Let the attendees know they were one of your top customers or hosts.

4. Send a recognition card to your top customers or hosts. Offer them a special gift or gift card just for supporting you…no strings attached!

5. Take the guesswork out of gift giving by having holiday bundle suggestions. Create bundles by price point and by theme. For example –

a. Secret Santa Gifts at $10, $15 and $25 price points

b. Gifts for Mom, Grandma or a favorite aunt

c. Gifts for the guys

6. Share gifts that are easy to mail! The Holiday Happy Box is a perfect example. A customer can buy several and re-ship them to family members far away or do a doorstop delivery when needed!

7. Stuff the Stockings! Share the small gifts that are easy for gifting and easy on the wallet too! Lotion Bars and Mini Hand & Body Lotion tubes are must have’s for last minute gifts.

8. Hosting is a great way to add to gifts without spending or breaking the budget. Remind customers that hosting is a wonderful way to earn free products for themselves and to have as extra gifts.

9. Share the benefits of Jordan Essentials! Value-added benefits go a long way as people are looking for value in the gifts they are giving. Practical gifts are making a comeback as not everyone has a budge that matches the wishlists!

10. The greatest benefit should not be forgotten. Plant the seeds of how they can have extra cash for Christmas, pay off bills, or take control of their financial health.
